About Claire Lee

I am a Soft Tissue Therapist and Physiotherapy Assistant. I have worked extensively with Physiotherapists in private clinical practice in the U.K since 2012. I currently work within a multidisciplinary team at Benfleet Physiotherapy working alongside a team of Physiotherapists. I have developed extensive clinical experience and developed rehabilitation programmes while treating a wide variety of patients : Amateur and Professional cyclists, National and International Athletes and Dancers, Office Workers, Retired and Elderly People, School children, and patients with Neurological & debilitating conditions.

I have volunteered as a therapist for the Disability Foundation at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Every year I spend my annual leave coaching and leading cyclists on training camps in Majorca.

I use a combination of sports therapy and soft tissue techniques such as remedial massage ,myofascial release , acupuncture for sports injuires, and established osteopathic techniques along with providing individualised remedial exercise programmes to enhance recovery, encourage good movement patterns and return the body to full function.

I enjoy my spare time as a racing cyclist now competing at Masters and Veteran level, previously competing at national level, I have a good understanding of the training requirements for many different sports. I am also a qualified British Cycling road and track cycling coach. I have worked at cycling training camps in Europe and major cycling events such as the World Masters Track Championships in the Manchester Velodrome.

Whilst working I continue my professional development and the theoretical side of physiotherapy whilst maintaining a close-knit network with other health professionals such as physiotherapists, podiatrists, pain management psychiatrists, osteopaths and nutritionalists for the purposes of referral.
